CremaBase is an independent database of espresso machine and grinder specifications — currently 44 machines and 21 grinders.

How we source the data

Every spec is collected from primary sources — the manufacturer's own spec sheets and documentation first, then reputable specialist retailers. We record facts, not marketing copy, and we link the source on each product page so you can verify it yourself.

How we handle uncertainty

Manufacturers don't always publish every figure (heat-up time, motor speed, exact retention). Where a value isn't confirmed, we leave it blank rather than guess. Each record carries an internal confidence level, and pages whose data is still under review are held back from search engines until checked.

Independence

Rankings and comparisons are based on specifications, not on who pays us. Where we link to a retailer to buy a machine, that link may earn us a commission — but it never affects which products we list or how they're ordered. We aim to cover every relevant brand, including ones no single shop carries.

Corrections

Spotted a wrong spec, or a model we're missing? That matters to us — accuracy is the whole point. Report a correction or suggest a machine, and the source link on each page shows exactly what we based a value on.
